Ductless Mini-Split units are comprised of an indoor and outdoor unit, this allows for a quieter and peaceful inside environment b enabling yourself/contractor to install louder components like compressors and motors outdoors.
Copper tubing running through a small 2 1/2-3" opening in the wall or ceiling easily connects the indoor and outdoor units. Freon is cycled through the lines from the outdoor condensing unit to the indoor air handler, where the air is quietly distributed to the interior space.
Conventional air duct systems tend to be bulky and can require special structural attention while Ductless
Mini-Split system piping can often be routed through walls and joists to maintain aesthetics.
