The HRV brings in fresh outdoor air and draws it through a polypropylene core where it is heated by the stale outgoing air.  The HRV then distributes the preheated fresh filtered air throughout the home by direct ductwork installed specially for the HRV or through the ductwork of a forced-air system. 

• HRVs can be installed as stand-alone systems that use independent ductwork or they can be connected to the existing duct of your forced air heating or cooling system.
  
• HRVs are designed to provide continuous ventilation throughout your home. Fresh air is brought in while contaminated air filled with VOCs is exhausted out of your living environment.
  
• The air is cleaner, fresher and more comfortable. At the same time, odors, smoke, steam, and moisture are exhausted out of the house.
