QSHD-181 18.000BTU & QSHD-241 24.000BTU THESE SYSTEMS USE A SINGLE INVERTER DRIVE COMPRESSOR TO SERVE BOTH OF THE INDOOR UNITS, WITH REFRIGERANT FLOW CONTROLLED VIA INDIVIDUAL ELECTRONIC EXPANSION VALVES. THE COMPRESSOR PERFORMANCE IS CONTROLLED BY THE NUMBER OF INDOOR UNITS OPERATING HOW FAR EACH UNIT IS AWAY FROM THE DESIRED TEMPERATURE SET POINT, AND THE OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE. THE GREATER THE CAPACITY REQUIRED, THE COMPRESSOR INCREASES IN SPEED, THEN AS THE UNITS REACH SET POINT, THE COMPRESSOR WILL SLOW DOWN REDUCING ENERGY CONSUMPTION. |

Heat Exchangers: The heat exchangers shall be manufactured using diamond cut aluminum fin mechanically bonded to copper tubes. All heat exchanger fins shall be coated with an hydrophilic and corrosion resistant finish |

Refrigerant Circuit: A single hermetically sealed DC Inverter drive rotary compressor shall be used to provide capacity for both Indoor units. Refrigerant flow to each Indoor unit shall be controlled by individual Electronic Expansion Valves located in the Outdoor unit. A single reversing valve shall be energized to switch operation from Cooling to Heat Pump. Each Indoor unit shall have a separate Suction and Expanded Gas refrigerant line with a maximum length of 50ft run each from the Outdoor unit. Refrigerant connections shall be flare type, with individual service valves on the QSOHD18 and manifold style connections on the QSOHD24. Refrigerant shall be R410A |

Condensate Removal from Indoor Unit: Shall be accomplished via the standard 18" length Drain hose, can connect to 5/8" ID or 3/4" OD PVC tubing. |

Fans: The Indoor unit fan shall be molded from HIPS, statically and dynamically balanced for quiet operation. Multiple fan speeds shall allow the user to select the required airflow. An auto swing louver can be used to direct Indoor airflow as required by the end user, using the wireless remote controller. The condenser fan shall be a propeller type with a speed controlled motor to provide optimum performance. |

Controls: Control shall be operated via a hand held wireless remote control with a range of 20ft. Unit shall be able to operate in the following modes : Auto, where a default set point of 75 DegF (user adjustable by +/- 2 DegF). In Auto mode the Indoor unit shall determine the optimum fan speed. Cool mode shall feature user selected room temperature and fan speed. Dry mode shall be similar to the cooling mode, except the Indoor fan speed shall be factory preset Heat mode shall feature user selected room temperature and fan speed. Fan mode shall just feature operation of the Indoor fan at a user selected speed. Each Indoor unit is capable of being controlled independently, however it is not possible to operate one Indoor unit in the cooling mode and the other Indoor unit in Heat Pump mode. The first unit operated shall set the operating mode for the system and must be turned off to allow the other unit to operate in the opposite mode. Room temperature shall be sensed by a thermistor mounted on the Indoor unit coils, directly in the return air flow stream. Indoor coil temperatures shall be monitored to prevent the Indoor coil from freezing up due to lack of airflow or refrigerant. All units shall feature Auto restart in the event of a power failure. Control is via a single low voltage (shielded) communication wire between the Outdoor unit and the Indoor units. The Inverter drive compressor shall control it's speed by determining the capacity required by the number of Indoor units operating, the mode of operation, the Indoor room and set temperatures and the Outdoor temperature. |
